Design and build

When you fold the Z Flip 7, it measures 85.5 x 75.2 x 13.7 mm, which means it will fit into most pockets. However, when you open the phone, it is only 6.5 mm thick. The Z Flip 7 weighs 188 grams. To help protect the Z Flip 7, there is an Armor Aluminum frame, as well as Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on both the front and back of the phone. In addition, Samsung has made the hinge on the Z Flip 7 smaller than before while still being strong. The Z Flip 7 also has IP48 water resistance. You can select either Blue Shadow, Jet Black, Coral Red, or Mint (available online only) for your Z Flip 7. Finally, stereo speakers provide clear audio, and adding a flip phone case to your Z Flip 7 will provide additional protection.

Display

The large 6.9-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X internal screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and max brightness of 2600 nits provides users with an immersive experience when viewing video content, reading, or playing video games. The 4.1-inch Gorilla Glass Victus 2-protected, edge-to-edge FlexWindow external screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz enables users to quickly respond to notifications, manage audio playback, and snap a selfie without needing to open the device. The ultra-thin glass protector shields the inside screen, while the side-mounted fingerprint scanner enables rapid access.

Performance

The 3nm Exynos 2500 has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage, allowing it to run apps, games, and multitask without issues. Users can also use Samsung DeX to connect to a monitor for a desktop-like experience, while Wi-Fi 7 and 5G will ensure that they are always connected. The device is ideal for users looking for a stylish and high-performance smartphone in a small size.

Software

The Z Flip 7 is powered by Android 16 with One UI 8. Gemini Live is available on the FlexWindow, which means you can get answers to your questions without having to open the device. With camera sharing, Gemini is able to see everything that you do. On the cover screen, the Now Bar will show real-time app activity, and the clock will change depending on your wallpaper. Additionally, Samsung has committed to providing seven years of OS updates along with this device.

Camera

The 50MP main camera (f/1.8, OIS) and the 12MP ultra-wide (f/2.2, 123°) provide sharp and vibrant images; they also include the ProVisual Engine and an improved version of Nightography. With FlexCam, you can use the cover screen as your viewfinder to capture selfies using the main camera. When using the selfie mode of the FlexWindow, there are several options available to you, including real-time filters, a one-handed zoom slider, and Dual Preview. You are able to create 4K videos at 60 fps with 10-bit HDR, and Portrait Studio allows you to convert pet pictures into cartoons.

The Z Flip series has never seen a bigger battery than this 4,300mAh two-cell one. Video viewing can be done for up to 31 hours per Samsung. Wired charging will work at 25W; wireless charging will provide 15W of power; and wireless power sharing for your watch or earbuds will work at 4.5W.
