Samsung Galaxy A57 5G Overview

Design and build

The A57 has dimensions of only 6.9mm thick and weighs only 179g; the A57 5G will be comfortable to use and carry around throughout your entire daily routine. Both the front and rear are protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+ with an aluminum frame that provides a sense of quality. The A57 5G is protected from dust and water damage through its IP68 rating. There are three color options available: Lilac, Icy Blue, and Navy. Stereo Speakers offer a clear, wide soundstage, and Samsung Galaxy Buds provide an alternative option to the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Display

The 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen (FHD+, approximately 385 ppi) features a dynamic refresh rate of 120 Hz, so it will feel smooth when you are scrolling through social media, playing games, or watching movies. It is capable of reaching a maximum brightness of 1,200 nits when in high brightness mode; however, if you are viewing HDR content, the screen can reach a peak brightness of 1,900 nits. This means that HDR10+ content will appear very vibrant on this device. Additionally, there is an always-on display feature as well as thin borders and Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. Under the screen is where you will find the fingerprint scanner.

Performance

The Exynos 1680 (4nm) offers either 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and a vapor chamber to help disperse heat. Several tests have shown that PUBG Mobile ran at approximately 58 frames per second (fps) on average, while Mobile Legends ran at approximately 113fps. Therefore, your preferred game will be able to run smoothly. This is an excellent option for users who frequently stream content, use multiple applications simultaneously, and/or engage in gaming activities. The device includes 256GB of internal storage, providing ample room for application downloads, media files, etc.

Software

One UI 8.5 is installed on your A57 5G along with Android 16. The A57 5G has several Galaxy AI features, including: Voice Transcription, AI Select, Auto Trim, and Circle to Search. To ensure that your personal information is protected, Samsung also includes: Samsung Knox Vault, Auto Blocker, and Private Album. Samsung stated that they will provide at least six (6) OS updates and six (6) years of security updates.

Camera

The primary 50-megapixel (f/1.8) camera has Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), so it is capable of taking good-quality low-light images and steady videos. There are two other cameras: a 12-megapixel ultra-wide (f/2.2, 123 degrees) and a 5-megapixel macro camera that will provide you with more options when taking pictures. You will also be able to use the main sensor to take close-up shots by cropping into your photo. You will be able to record 4K video at 30 frames per second using the main and ultra-wide cameras. The 12-megapixel front-facing camera can also record 4K video at 30 frames per second.

Battery

The A57 has seven to eight hours of screen-on time from the 5,000mAh Li-Ion battery when I tested the device at a moderate level of usage. The charging capabilities of the device are 45 Watts using a USB-C cable; therefore, a compatible 45 Watt charger will take approximately one hour to charge the battery.

Who Should Buy It?

The Galaxy A57 5G is a good choice for someone who wants to have a very thin, high-quality-feeling mobile phone that has IP68 water/dust resistance and an amazing display. I would recommend this product to everyday users, streaming media consumers, and photography enthusiasts who are concerned about having their devices supported by software updates for years to come. In order to get the most out of using the Galaxy A57 5G, you should also purchase Samsung Galaxy Buds and a 45-watt charging brick.
