iPhone 16

The iPhone 16 showcases many improvements from previous models for ease of daily use, speed, and overall aesthetics of the device. If you own an iPhone 12, 13, or 14, and have not upgraded otherwise, you will see noticeable improvements.

The upgraded iPhone 16 offers an organized, easily differentiated design with vertical camera placement, improved from previous generations. The Action Button is now a standard feature that allows shortcut use for silent mode, camera, and flashlight instead of the previous models. The Capture Button is also a new feature that allows for easier capture of images and videos with use of the device in a horizontal position while at events or travel.

The 6.1 inch Super Retina XDR OLED display provides the same high quality, color saturated, and bright screen for easy outdoor use, and has been upgraded with thinner bezels for an improved design. However, the refresh rate still stays at 60Hz, so users coming from high-refresh Android phones may notice the difference while scrolling. But the display remains excellent for all daily use, social media, and browsing.

What makes the iPhone 16 stand apart from its predecessors is the addition of the Apple A18 processor. There is a super noticeable difference in the speed at which apps process. Multitasking is feeling completely effortless. Gaming is even more fun since there is less worry about the device overheating.

Furthermore, the design and function of the phone has been improved with enhanced the RAM and improved design. The phone is definitely faster and even offers better usefulness with editing photos and helps with switching between multitasking apps, especially if those apps support AI.

The camera and its ability to take high quality photos and process images is fantastic. The enhancement for capturing close up photos of things like flowers and food has been made for the Apple iPhone 16 with the addition of the new 12MP camera that now supports macro photography. Apple's image processing has also continued to excel with better skin and tone processing that shows a better and more dynamic range.

The A18 also helps battery life thanks to a 3561 mAh battery. For a phone that has Face ID, WiFi 7, Apple’s long software support and USB-C, the iPhone 16 brings a flagship phone that helps improve the overall quality of a phone that will stay relevant longer.

Overall, the iPhone 16 is a fantastic upgrade, and a lot of its improvements are more functional than aesthetic. The updated buttons, performance, and AI capabilities (among other things) make this a great option for casual users that want an iPhone that can handle as of yet unreleased and unannounced apps and features.
